Three new atheist organizations launched by Lauren Ell
Republican Atheists’ President and Founder Lauren Ell launched three new atheist organizations in early 2020 to help connect atheists with similar values and to diversify the image of an “atheist” to the public. Be sure to check them out.
In January 2020 the organization Atheists United for Israel was launched to represent atheists who support the country of Israel. Since atheists tend to be in the political “left” community that often has pro-Palestine views, Ell thought it was important that the public is aware of outspoken atheists who support Israel. In February 2020 Ell started Atheists We Are, an organization that showcases atheist organizations, atheist individuals and atheist news. While practically all US-based atheist organizations focus on challenging religion, Atheists We Are will discuss what is happening in the global atheist community. Finally, in March 2020, Ell launched Atheist Moms, a community for moms who are atheist. Ell gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in late 2019, and wanted to connect with atheist moms. There was no official organization for this group, so she decided to launch one. View the organization’s website here.
You are welcome to connect with the organizations on social media, and even send a message to say hello if you are interested in becoming involved. Currently there are no atheist organizations that have taken interest in mentioning Republican Atheists to their base, so it is nice that there are more atheist organizations that will have a different approach of showcasing content and communicating with the public. This can help draw more awareness to Republican Atheists.
