Republican Atheists introduces new think tank to help atheist and agnostic Republicans run for office

Republican Atheists is excited to introduce the Republican Atheists Think Tank, a group whose mission is to offer advice and direction to atheist and agnostic Republicans running for public office.

Running for office can often be overwhelming for those who have never dabbled in it before. Developing campaign strategy, securing outreach methods and managing funds requires research and planning. This is where Republican Atheists Think Tank comes in, consisting of individuals who are experienced in running for office and/or are knowledgeable of campaign management, and are happy to provide tips and advice to those interested in running for office.

Currently the think tank consists of:

  • Darrel Scott – ran for County Commissioner in Texas, serves as Republican Atheists’ Texas Correspondent
  • Carolyn Umphrey – won a seat on her city council in Arizona
  • Steve Anderson – experienced in campaign development in Illinois, serves as Republican Atheists’ Illinois Correspondent
  • Jeff Raymond – majored in Political Science, contributed to the initial planning of a campaign, serves as Republican Atheists’ Massachusetts Correspondent

This think tank will be a great step up for Republican Atheists in being more directly involved in campaigning and politics.
