Welcoming Skuyler Szigethy in New York as a Board Member
Republican Atheists bids farewell to two board members, Scott Root in Arizona and Darrel Scott in Texas. They have been board members of Republican Atheists since our early days. We appreciate their contributions and feedback over the years. They remain correspondents for their states and continue to support the organization.
We are excited to welcome Skuyler Szigethy, an atheist Republican based in New York, as a new board member. Skuyler has been a New York correspondent for Republican Atheists for many years and has given feedback to the organization in the past. He is a great addition to our board.
Here are details about Skuyler’s background.
I have a degree in fire protection and practice fire safety plan writing and consulting in NYC. I’m licensed by the state of NY to carry concealed (No, it’s not a myth! No, you don’t need to be a cop!). I’m a strong second amendment supporter and am a trained NRA safety instructor in Home Firearm Safety. I believe that a small federal government and individual freedom along with personal responsibility make for a more productive society. I’m also a writer of short stories and compete in Cowboy Action Shooting. I study history, astronomy and politics in my free time and I love to learn.
We are excited to have Skuyler on board and look forward to him contributing to conversations to further develop Republican Atheists.
