American Atheists continues to lose its game with the public

I normally would not draw attention to a minute Twitter event like this, but I found this particular event to be interesting because it shows how one of the most prominent atheist organizations, American Atheists (AA), is losing its game in being a respected organization. (I know many of us have known AA is losing its game for some time due to the gradual left-leaning take over of the organization, but it is interesting to see it in action).

I recently came in contact with American Atheists’ Florida assistant state director, who happens to be a “PhD research scientist,” via a post on American Atheists’ official Twitter account. Her personal Twitter description directly states her affiliation with American Atheists.

She was taken aback by a trivial error I made in my comment on American Atheists’ tweet (I had incorrectly stated her gender), so she blasted me on her personal Twitter account with screenshots of my comment that included my name, and called me a “dumbass.” I thought this was obtuse behavior that was bordering harassment coming from a representative of American Atheists, and wondered what the organization would think if it got wind of one of their reps publicly targeting a person and name calling from communication directly on their main account.

Then I looked at the accounts who ‘liked’ her post. To my surprise, American Atheists’ official Twitter account had liked the post, as well as the accounts of AA’s national field director and Texas assistant state director. That shows that not only does American Atheists, the organization, overlook this behavior, it even supports it.

I couldn’t help but laugh about what a joke American Atheists has become. I messaged American Atheists’ president about it, and to my surprise he responded. I’ve messaged him several times over the years since Republican Atheists first launched, and this was the first time he has responded to me. I guess it takes a foul behavior report for American Atheists to respond to Republican Atheists. I’ll just say there was no concern about my complaint.

It is no wonder why American Atheists is a crumbling organization, and why the general American public tends to not take a liking to atheists based on the liberal image organizations like American Atheists puts forth of atheists.

For the record, Republican Atheists does have more strict policy for our Correspondents to follow in order for the organization to maintain a respected reputation with the public.
