Republican Atheists celebrates its Second Anniversary
Republican Atheists is excited to celebrate its Second Anniversary. We have come a long way since first launching in February 2017, and look forward to another year! Here are three highlights during the last year.
Republican Atheists’ President Lauren Ell shares three highlights during the last year for Reublican Atheists’ Second Year Anniversary.
1. Republican Atheists obtained 17 Correspondents representing 16 states (view our list of Correspondents here). Having Correspondents in states is great because it shows that the organization has contacts throughout the country and is not strictly online-oriented. These Correspondents are a contact for Republican Atheists in their state, and also provide insight and feedback to the organization.
2. Republican Atheists launched a think tank with the mission of offering direction to atheist and agnostic Republicans running for office. The think tank currently consists of four members who have experience in running for public office or are knowledgeable of managing a campaign.
3. Finally, the organization has achieved a larger following on social media. Republican Atheists’ Facebook page currently has over 1,000 followers, making us a a notable atheist organization in regards to popularity. Additionally we have over 400 followers on Instagram and over 200 followers on Twitter.

Republican Atheists was first launched in February 2017 with the goal of developing a platform for atheists who are registered Republican, as well as those who simply take interest in the Republican Party.
